Eye Console Core Data is a Mac OS X 10.5 application that watches your console for a customizable combination of searches such as messages, application name, between dates, and PID…and reports to the growl notification system. It will also rollover with the log-rollover that Leopard does every night at midnight.
I’ve included the source that has many different coding methods such as Core Data, Bindings, Launchd (starting at startup), NTask (tailing), hiding of dock icon, multi-threading, integration with growl framework, and adding an icon to system status bar. I use it at work for reporting errors in the console but I’m sure it could be useful for other things.
